He is a Certified Radon Measurement Professional (C-NRPP), a Certified Mould Remediation Contractor (CMRC), a Certified Mould Inspector (CMI), and is affiliated with the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) and Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA). These designations, along with his extensive experience, equip Jeff with a unique skill set that he brings to every project, ensuring top-tier service for his clients and students. Jeff’s passion for education was ignited by his desire to expand knowledge within the industry about the proper and safe handling of hazardous materials. As a dedicated educator for Accredited and General Classes on Asbestos Awareness, Mould Awareness, and Hazardous Building Materials Awareness and more, Jeff imparts his knowledge and experience to those eager to learn. He believes, “Education is the key to prevention. By raising awareness about hazardous materials, we can create safer environments for everyone.”
The Awareness courses, taught by Jeff Wright on behalf of MBC Group, are comprehensive programs designed to educate individuals about the hazards associated with potentially hazardous materials. Accredited in several provinces, these courses cover a wide range of topics, including the identification of hazardous materials, health risks associated with exposure, and current regulations governing each. They aim to provide a thorough understanding of the health risks associated with exposure to harmful substances and the regulations governing their management, thereby creating a safer working environment and protecting individuals’ well-being."
Beneficial for restoration professionals, insurance adjusters, and government agency workers who may encounter asbestos in their line of work, these Awareness courses are a crucial part of Jeff’s educational series. Jeff explains, “The objective of these courses is to bring awareness to the hazards regulated under the legislation and those issues that pose a health risk to persons entering or working in impacted buildings.”
In addition to the Awareness courses, Jeff also contributes to the teaching of the current Alberta Asbestos Worker and WorkSafe BC Asbestos courses. These courses delve deeper into the knowledge and skills necessary to safely handle and manage asbestos in various work environments. They cover a wide range of topics, including identifying asbestos-containing materials, health risks associated with exposure, and current regulations governing asbestos management. Jeff shares, “The objective of these seminars is to bring awareness, understanding, and safety to the asbestos hazards regulated under the legislation and those issues that pose a health risk to persons entering or working in impacted buildings. Through the Asbestos Worker and Awareness courses and the WorkSafe BC Asbestos courses, we aim to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely navigate these challenges.”
