We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director, Business Development with an extensive knowledge of the engineering and construction industry in British Columbia and Alberta. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in identifying and engaging with key industry players, including developers, architects, engineering companies, and contractors, to drive business growth and expand our client base.

What you will do
Identify and target potential clients, including developers, architects, engineering firms, and contractors in BC and AB.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and industry partners.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
Collaborate with our technical team to understand our capabilities and effectively communicate our value proposition.
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to potential clients.
Lead the development and implementation of strategic business development plans.
Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote our services and build connections.
Work closely with the executive team to set and achieve revenue targets.
What you will bring
An undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing or Communications, or a combination of equivalent education and work experience will be considered.
A business development role and background in engineering, construction industry or the insurance sector would be preferable. Experience working with contractors in a residential or commercial development setting would be an asset.
High level of competence delivering on sales objectives and understanding sales strategy and processes is required.
Demonstrated competency in the following areas: client relations, relationship building, results orientation, and communication.
Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule.
